Greenhead Allotments

Craig and his wife, Emma have a real passion for health and well-being and when they purchased some farmland next to his family’s farm they wanted to start a green project to help the local community in some form or another. was opened to the public on 1st February 2014.
A number of FREE Community plots are available to local groups who would benefit from working outdoors and being active. Community groups involved so far ,
Foodbank, PEEF, Musketeers for Jesus, Burnley boys & girls club.

Greenhead Allotments is a fantastic opportunity for young people to express themselves whilst learning practical gardening skills on the allotment. When I first heard about Greenhead Allotments i thought it was a brilliant idea by you, to put something back into the community and it’s a great way to help young people, connect with older people and their local community.

I am looking forward to all the hard work the young people, our staff and young volunteers are going to put into the Allotment project. During the time at the allotment i am sure we will see the young people gain in confidence, with the support of our staff & volunteers. Whilst also having the chance to learn new practical skills in the open countryside
